Cattle truck flips over in Arlington, killing several cows
ARLINGTON – Several cows are dead after a cattle truck flipped over Monday night.
It happened just after 9:30 p.m. on the I-30 bridge at Baird Farm Road in Arlington.
Traffic was stopped in both directions at that time. There were no impacts to traffic on I-30 Tuesday morning.
It is unknown how many cows were on the truck and how many died. CBS News Texas crews at the scene said there was a forklift carrying dead cattle off the roadway and live cattle were being transported on other trucks.
At around 5:10 a.m. Tuesday, the truck was uprighted and no longer on its side.
CBS News Texas is working to learn more information, including checking with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality about the impacts of the crash.
Arlington police, fire and the Tarrant County Sheriff's Office Animal Response Unit responded to the accident.
