BPCL share price hits 52-week high after giving 3% dividend yield in 2022

After hitting intraday high of ₹374.90 apiece on NSE, BPCL share price today hit 52-week high on third day in a row. The dividend stock that has given dividend yield to the tune of 3% in 2022 had hit 52-week high on Friday despite sell on Dalal Street.

After ushering in the financial year 2023-24, BPCL share price bottomed out at around ₹328 apiece levels and from there the PSU stock has risen to the tune of ₹374.90 apiece levels, delivering to the tune of near 14 per cent in these near one month time. In fact the stock has remained a money making stock for its shareholders as the state-owned Fortune 500 company stock has delivered more than 20 per cent return in last six months despite remaining in base building mode till mid October 2022.

BPCL shares traded ex-dividend first on 10th February 2022 for issuance of ₹5 per shaer interim dividend for the financial year 2021-22. Later on, BPCL shares traded ex-diviend on 19th August 2022 for issuance of final dividend of ₹6 per share. Hence, those who had bought BPCL shares at the beginning of 2022, their dividend yield in 2022 from BPCL shareholding stands around 3 per cent as BPCL shares were available at around ₹385 apiece.
