Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh called INDIA bloc an “an alliance of convenience of some self-seeking Opposition leaders”

Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday mocked the opposition INDIA bloc with the viral “moye moye” meme reference saying the alliance can’t face NDA or BJP in the Lok Sabha elections. He also called the INDIA bloc “an alliance of convenience of some self-seeking Opposition leaders”.

“Several Opposition parties came together to fight and defeat the BJP. However, you can all see that this is an alliance of convenience of some self-seeking Opposition leaders. However, they can’t even face the NDA even if they are united. Iss desh ki janata iska bhi moye moye kar degi (the people will make the Opposition come a cropper in the elections),” the Defence Minister said while speaking at an election campaign in Ghaziabad for sitting MP Atul Garg.

Rajnath Singh Hails PM Modi

During his speech, Rajnath Singh also hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for transforming India’s reputation on the global stage since assuming the office in 2014.

“India has become a powerful country. The world did not take India seriously … But Prime Minister Modi has done a miracle. Today, when India speaks on the international stage, the entire world listens to it carefully. This is India’s reputation, which has grown rapidly,” he said.

What is viral meme “moye moye”?

“Moye more” enunciated as “Moye moye” is the lyrics of a Serbian song by the name ‘Dzanum’. The song about nightmares, anguish and despair by Serbian singer-songwriter Teya Dora went viral on TikTok. The catchy tune and lyrics of the song are often used in memes on social media to imply loss or defeat in funny skits and references.
