While Shaw’s opening partner David Warner fell early, debutant Jake Fraser-McGurk lived up to his billing as a big-hitter by smashing the ball to all parts early in his innings. The stand between him and Shaw produced 39 runs in just 21 balls. (AFP)

Pant continued the rampage and was eventually stumped off Ravi Bishnoi on 41 off 24 balls. Shai Hope and Tristan Stubbs then saw DC home, with the latter ending the chase with a six off the first ball of the 19th over.
