Railway Apprentice Recruitment 2024: Registration underway for 733 vacancies, apply till April 12 – Times of India

SECR Trade Apprentice Recruitment 2024: South East Central Railway (SECR) has invited applications from eligible candidates for the Trade Apprentice posts. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the recruitment through the official website at secr.indianrailways.gov.in.
According to the official notification, the application process commenced on March 12, 2024, and candidates have the opportunity to apply online via the official website until April 12, 2024.A total of 733 vacancies are available for the Apprentice position. Among these, there are 296 vacancies for UR, 74 for EWS, 197 for OBC, 113 for SC, and 53 for ST categories.

Educational Qualification

A candidate is required to have completed at least 10th grade and obtained an ITI (Industrial Training Institute) certificate in a relevant trade as the minimum educational qualification.

Age Limit

The applicants must be between 15 and 24 years of age as of April 12, 2024.

Selection Process

The selection process for the Apprentice position at the South Eastern Central Railway will be determined by candidates’ performance in the matriculation examination. A merit list will be compiled based on candidates’ scores in the qualifying examination for the appointment as trade apprentices, with an expected official release date around May 2024.
