The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has invited applications for the position of Medical Officer and other posts. Candidates can apply for their choice of position at the official website — upsc.gov.in. The recruitment programme aims to fill up 109 vacant positions within the organisation. The last date to apply is May 2.

UPSC Recruitment 2024: Vacancy Details

Medical Officer – 40 Posts

Assistant Professor – 13 posts

Assistant Chemist – 3 posts

Nautical Survey- Cum Deputy Director General – 6 posts

Scientist-B – 3 posts

Investigator Grade-I – 2 posts

Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor – 42 posts.

UPSC Recruitment 2024: How To Apply?

Step 1: Visit the official website of UPSC at upsc.gov.in.

Step 2: Navigate to the ‘Career’ section.

Step 3: Register using the email ID and mobile number.

Step 4: Log in using the registration number and password.

Step 5: Fill in the application form. Upload all the required documents.

Step 6: After providing all the details in the application form, click on ‘Submit.’

Step 7: Download the application form and take a print out for future reference.

UPSC Recruitment 2024: Application Fee

All candidates (except SC, ST, Female, People with Benchmark Disability are exempted from payment of the fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs 25 by submitting the money to any SBI Branch via cash payment. They can also make their payments digitally through the Net Banking facility of any bank or via UPI Payment, or by using Visa, Rupay, Master, Credit, or Debit cards.

Meanwhile, the UPSC has postponed the civil service preliminary exam 2024 due to the general elections. The exam which was scheduled to be held on May 26 has been deferred to June 16. Through the recruitment drive, the commission aims to fill around 1056 vacancies. This includes 40 vacancies reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disability Category — 6 vacancies for candidates of blindness and low vision; 12 vacancies for deaf and hard of hearing; 9 vacancies for locomotor disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims, and muscular dystrophy; and 13 vacancies for multiple disabilities including deaf-blindness.
