Aspirants aiming to appear for the SHRESHTA NETS 2024 examination are currently in the midst of the application process. The exam has preponed due to the upcoming general elections

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has revised the exam dates for the National Entrance Test for the Scheme for Residential Education for Students in High Classes in Targeted Areas (SHRESHTA NETS) 2024, in light of the upcoming general elections. Originally planned for a later date, the SHRESHTA NETS 2024 exam will now be held on May 11.

The SHRESHTA scheme was introduced by the central government to provide high-quality education to deserving scheduled caste (SC) students. Under this initiative, approximately 3,000 SC category students will be selected to receive admission to CBSE-affiliated schools across the country for Class 9 and 11.

SHRESHTA NETS 2024: Application Process, Eligibility

According to the official exam schedule, the SHRESHTA NETS 2024 admit cards will be issued on May 6. The results of the exam are expected to be declared within four to six weeks after the exam.

Aspirants aiming to appear for the SHRESHTA NETS 2024 examination are currently in the midst of the application process. The deadline for submitting the application form is April 4. Candidates can access the SHRESHTA NETS 2024 application form on the official website at shreshta.ntaonline.in or exams.nta.ac.in/SHRESHTA. Additionally, a brief window for making corrections to the application form will be open from April 6 to 8.

To be eligible for SHRESHTA NETS, candidates must have a parental income of less than Rs 2.5 lakh per year. Scheduled caste students who are currently in Class 8 and 10 are eligible to apply for the SHRESHTA NETS Class 9 and 11 exams respectively.

SHRESHTA NETS 2024: Exam Pattern

The SHRESHTA (NETS) – 2024 exam pattern consists of four sections, totaling 100 questions. The exam will be conducted in pen and paper mode only, and candidates will have 3 hours, from 2 pm to 5 pm, to complete the exam. The distribution of subject-wise questions and marks is — Mathematics (30 questions consisting of 120 marks); Science (20 questions consisting of 80 marks); Social Science (25 questions, 100 marks); General Knowledge (25 questions, 100 marks). The exam comprises a total of 100 questions carrying 400 marks.
